Jad is the Co-Founder of 450 Jiujitsu and its head instructor. He is a Purple belt under Firass Zahabi and one of the best Jiu-Jitsu practitioners Montreal has produced.
With over 7 years of experience training with some of the best in the world, including George St-Pierre, John Danaher, and Gordon Ryan, Jad brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our academy. He's a dedicated competitor with an unwavering commitment to his craft, and he's always looking for ways to improve his skills and push himself to new heights.
As a Purple belt under Firass Zahabi, Jad is a full-time competitor and teacher always looking to achieve new heights. He's a skilled and disciplined practitioner, and he's dedicated to passing on his knowledge and experience to his students. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned martial artist, Jad has something to offer everyone, and he's always happy to help you improve your skills and achieve your goals.

Pierre-Olivier Leclerc is a black belt under Firas Zahabi and a rising star in professional Jiu-Jitsu, both in terms of his technical level and his achievements.
His understanding of modern Jiu-Jitsu allowed him to develop a style that is both logical and systematic, and works at a high level.
Pierre-Olivier was fortunate enough to first learn the mastery of the leg lock system with John Danaher and the DDS. He then gained increasingly complete mastery of his sport, including control leading to submission.
The level of teaching he received, his experiences, and his victories have allowed him to develop a very high level of grappling that is reflected in both his performances and his teaching.

Brandon Reed

3x IBJJF No-Gi World Medalist, 3x University Sport National Champion
Brandon Reed is a Purple Belt Under Nick Albin (AKA Chewjitsu) and Patchez Childers in the USA.
Brandon has over 15 years of grappling experience including Folkstyle Wrestling, Freestyle Wrestling, Greco-Roman Wrestling, Gi Jiu-Jitsu, and No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu.
As a College Wrestler he won 3 NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) National Titles at the 285 lbs weight class in 2019,2020, and 2021.
He was named the 2021 NAIA Wrestler of the Year, NAIA National Tournament Most Outstanding Wrestler of the Event, and finished his final season 17-0 as an undefeated 3x National Champion with 14 of those wins coming by pin.

Sylvia Kasselias
INSTRUCTOR / YOGA FOR JIUJITSU
Sylvia has been teaching yoga and mobility for 15 years. Her initiation into yoga occurred at the age of 18, leading her to become a certified Sivananda Yoga teacher at 20. Immersed in a transformative year at the Sivananda ashram under Swami Shivabakhtananda’s guidance, Sylvia seamlessly integrated yoga into her fitness and competitive ventures. Advocating for a holistic approach, she holds certifications in herbalism, pelvic floor therapy, breathwork, and behavioral hypnotherapy. Over the past 6 years, Sylvia has dedicated herself to certifying yoga teachers through her unique method and is currently studying the captivating realms of biology and Ayurvedic medicine, aspiring to unveil the potential synergy between mind and body.
Her passion shines through as she eagerly looks forward to sharing these valuable tools for mobility and ancient techniques with the jiu-jitsu community.

Dimitri Karagiannakis
INSTRUCTOR / KIDS PROGRAM
Meet Dimitri, our dedicated kids' coach and blue belt under Jad Abou Rjeily. Currently pursuing a software engineering degree at Concordia University, Dimitri has immersed himself in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for just under 2 and a half years. Despite his relatively short journey, Dimitri is not only committed to breaking down and understanding techniques but also devotes time to researching Jiu-Jitsu concepts to effectively teach the next generation of grapplers.
At 450 Jiujitsu, Dimitri takes immense pride in spearheading our kids' program. Alongside his best friend, Pierre-Michael, an expert in Kinesiology and occupational therapist, Dimitri ensures a holistic approach to the kids' training. Beyond instilling effective self-defense techniques, they focus on nurturing discipline, respect, and a love for learning in their young students. Dimitri's goal is to create a cohesive group of young grapplers who not only excel on the mats but also carry the principles of Jiu-Jitsu into their everyday lives, laying the foundation for a lifetime of physical and mental well-being.
